Perr&Knight Forms Insurance Technology Group

Insurance industry consultants Perr&Knight announced today the formation of a new Insurance Technology Group to provide a wide array of services that leverage the firm’s seventeen years of experience working with insurers. The group is an extension of the firm’s management consulting practice and is headed by principal Rob Berg. Berg is supported by industry veterans Atul Poladia and Joe Allen who manage internal projects and client engagements, respectively.
“The Insurance Technology Group represents a natural evolution of our service portfolio in direct response to our clients’ needs,” said Berg. “There really is no industry counterpart to this in that no other firm combines the unified focus on the insurance industry, the deep insurance subject matter expertise and the technological savvy that Perr&Knight now brings to the industry.”
Perr&Knight has already been instrumental in the planning, execution and management of many large-scale insurance technology initiatives, and recently annexed an offshore development team to augment its onshore resources. “They’ve done some great things, these professionals at Perr&Knight. I was fortunate to be able to work with them on several large projects; having worked with so many consultants over the years, I really find this firm’s technology practice to be exceptional,” stated Jim Cerone, former Executive Vice President of Travelers and current president of James F Cerone, Ltd., a Chicago-based firm that provides claims management expertise.
The group offers IT planning support, which includes solution design, requirements management and project planning services; decision support, including vendor selection, project risk assessment and business case development services; and execution support services, including IT governance, business process change and staff augmentation and training services.
