Steven Rosso, ACAS, MAAA

Steven Rosso is a Consulting Actuary with Perr&Knight, telecommuting from Derwood, Maryland. Steven specializes in competitive intelligence, filing support, and ratemaking, which includes calculating policyholder impacts, drafting actuarial support, performing market research, and preparing indications. Steven’s area of expertise is homeowners, but he also has experience with commercial auto, commercial property, general liability, personal auto, pet, professional liability, umbrella, and workers compensation products. Steven’s work includes competitor analyses, funding estimates, product development, rate/rule filings, ratemaking, regulatory rate compliance, and reserve analyses.

Prior to joining Perr&Knight in 2024, Steven worked as a Senior Actuarial Manager at Lemonade, Inc. where he provided rate filing support for existing and introductory programs, created loss ratio forecasting tools, and designed quality assurance processes to minimize the frequency of rating errors. Steven began his actuarial career at Homesite Group Incorporated where he helped the company construct rating engines, introduce by-peril rating, and prepare rate filings while also spearheading the competitive intelligence work.

Steven graduated from the University of Miami with a dual degree in May 2015, earning both a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Economics and a Bachelor of Science with a major in Mathematics – Probability and Statistics. Steven is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
