Daniel Baxter is a Senior Consulting Actuary with Perr&Knight. Danny’s work includes reserving studies, rate/rule filings, competitor analyses, pricing studies, program development, and captive feasibility studies. His expertise lies in personal lines, specifically homeowners and personal auto, and various commercial lines including surety, commercial auto, general liability, professional liability, and workers compensation.
Danny joined Perr&Knight’s Jersey City, New Jersey office in 2013. Prior to joining Perr&Knight, Danny held actuarial positions at Towers Watson, Pricewaterhouse Coopers and Catlin Insurance Company. At Towers Watson, Danny worked extensively in workers compensation and medical malpractice. While at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Danny specialized in reserving audits with a focus on professional liability lines. At Catlin Insurance Company, Danny oversaw the pricing of the US equine and professional liability lines and also was part of the team that helped migrate Catlin US’s legacy insurance system to Oracle.
Danny received a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University in 2002 and Master’s degree in Actuarial Science from Georgia State University in 2007. He became a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society in 2009 and is a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
